What's the difference between a HMO vs. PPO?   

Its good to have choices when it comes to health insurance. Learn more about the differences between the two plans and how you can choose they type of plan that meets your needs.

 


Where is my personalized Benefit Coverage Outline?   

This document was emailed to you on Tuesday, October 10. If you have a new mailing address, please email your new contact information to HR@cvwdwater.com.



Who is eligible to participate in the District's benefit plans?  

 

If you are a District retiree, you may enroll your spouse or domestic partner and any dependent children up to age 26 in a medical and/or dental plan that you are currently enrolled in. You may not enroll yourself in plans you are not currently enrolled in, but you may switch providers. For example, if you are not currently enrolled in dental, you may not add dental insurance during Open Enrollment. However, if you are currently enrolled in Kaiser medical benefits and want to switch to Anthem Blue Cross, you may do so. 


What if I want to stay with my current plan(s)?   


If you do not need to make any enrollment changes, your participation in your medical, dental,  and vision insurance will remain the same, but at the 2024 rates (as shown on the Individual Insurance Benefits Outline that was emailed to you.).

All forms must be emailed to Human Resources no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25. Forms may be returned by:


Can I make changes to my benefits during the year?   


If you experience a qualifying event during the year, please notify HR as soon as possible. You may be eligible to change certain benefit plan elections within thirty-one (31) days of the event. Qualifying events may include marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, or death of a spouse or dependent.
