Students of the Water Supply Technology Program at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) have a unique opportunity available to them through CVWD's partnership with the college. For students that meet the required qualifications, internships are available in a variety of fields including: water and wastewater utility maintenance, field service (meter reading), treatment, and engineering.
Participant Requirements Students who are interested in participating in the Internship Program must:
Be currently enrolled in the SBVC Water Supply Technology Program
Have successfully completed the Water Treatment I (WST071) and Water Distribution I (WST061)
Complete an online internship program application
Provide a copy of SBVC unofficial transcripts
Enroll in the one-unit Work Experience course (WST098-01) or the two-unit Work Experience course (WST098-02)
Be able to complete 60 or 120 hours to satisfy the requirements of the Work Experience course
Maintain a grade of "C" or higher in each course to remain eligible to participate
Have a current California Driver's License and submit to a DMV records check
Submit to a drug screening test and criminal background check
