President's Message

As the Cucamonga Valley Water District begins a new fiscal year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for your cooperation and support over the last two years. When the Governor issued an Executive Order in April 2015 requiring all customers to reduce water use by 25%, CVWD customers responded. A month later, in May 2015, we found out we were required to cut use by 35%. Again, CVWD customers responded to that call to conserve and reduced water use significantly.
Fast forward to June 2016; CVWD customers reduced water use by 27% since June 2015. This is a huge accomplishment and we appreciate all of your efforts to conserve our most precious natural resource. Through changing every day habits, participating in rebate programs, and attending educational and informational programs, you were able to make a difference during the statewide drought.
Over the next 12 months, CVWD customers will continue to see us achieving our mission to provide high quality, reliable water and wastewater service while practicing good stewardship of natural and financial resources. We have a number of projects planned in the next year, the Cucamonga Basin Management Plan, a Nitrate Wellhead Treatment Plant, a new well, and a new reservoir. All of these projects will contribute to us ensuring a reliable water supply today and into the future.
CVWD serves 48,000 customers, who represent 200,000 people throughout a 47 square mile area. This includes the City of Rancho Cucamonga, the Village of Heritage in Fontana, and small portions of north Ontario, east Upland, and unincorporated San Bernardino County. Our commitment to all customers is to ensure that you have the water you need when you turn on your tap, both today, tomorrow, and years ahead. If you have any questions or comments about our website, how CVWD operates, or just general questions, please email us or call us at (909) 987-2591.

Sincerely,

James V. Curatalo Jr.
President
